Julia K.

Julia holds her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Waterloo.

Her specialties include: math, English, science, social studies, and music for kids aged 4 to 18, as well as overall EF skills for students in CEGEP and University.

She currently serves as Book Dumpling Tutors’ Assistant Director, and Head of Executive Functioning. She works with students on study skills, procrastination, timetable + break management, planning, chunking, and how to incorporate comprehension checks (reviewing previous tasks and pausing halfway through to ensure understanding of material). She has helped students of all ages (up until University) try multiple strategies until they discover the one(s) that works for them. She also helps students learn how to study despite any processing difficulties.

Julia has taught core curriculum subjects for several companies, including math, English, and science. She creates tailored lesson plans according to each student's capabilities and goals, while creating additional learning exercises to enhance the student’s cultural and global knowledge. She has also worked in Early Childhood Education.

Julia’s incredible enthusiasm cultivates a productive environment within which the student can grow and excel, both academically and within their own lives. She has a passion for helping students develop confidence and build self-esteem within learning and beyond.
