Hannah B.

Hannah is a Learning Specialist with a Masters of Education in Educational Psychology, from McGill University.

She has extensive experience supporting elementary and junior high school students with and without learning difficulties, offering targeted remedial support in literacy, English and executive function / study skills.

Hannah worked for years at the Taylor Adolescent Program, where she supported elementary and high school students with disabilities in their academic journey: she provided students with effective learning strategies that not only helped them understand concepts, but also taught them how to learn, fostering independent and confident learners.

For the past few years, Hannah has worked in different elementary schools and one high school, where she assisted resource teachers in supporting students academically. Currently, Hannah is providing literacy support to students at Solomon Schechter Academy.

Hannah structures her sessions based on her client’s individual needs, while also modelling organization and time management skills. She incorporates an array of learning techniques to ensure learning, and is passionate about making sure her sessions end with students feeling more prepared and confident in their own abilities.
